About Ueli Frey

Ueli Frey was born in 1957. He developed a passion for music in the late 1960s and had the good fortune of seeing all the big prog rock acts live in the 1970s. Led Zeppelin II was the first LP in his collection. In 1974, he started working as a concert reporter for the Zürichsee Zeitung. From 1977 onwards, he attended every edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival. In 1983, he became the Head of Music for Radio Zürisee. Later, he worked for Radio 24 and Radio 1. Photography was a passion since childhood and he often brought a camera with him to concerts. His archive of concert photographs right now requires 11 TB of hard disk space.
